Workshop description:
During this 4 hour class, you will learn to make this fun quilted pouch using different scraps of fabric. You can of course use new fabric or bring remnants of other projects or vintage pieces of clothing you’d like to repurpose. The possibilities are endless and it’s such a great way to dive into quilting for the first time! Pouches are a such a staple piece, wether you take them with you on holidays, or use them in your day-to-day life.
What you will learn:

This is a workshop for beginners who are comfortable using a sewing machine.
Included in the workshop:
-Wadding/batting.
-the use of a sewing machines including special quilting feet
-the use of all the sewing tools like a rotary cutter, quilting ruler, cutting mats, fabric scissors, seam ripper, needles, pins, tailors chalk etc
*Snacks, coffee, tea and soft drinks throughout the class.
Not Included:
-Scraps of quilting cotton in different colours, prints and shapes (you can bring your own or find some in store)
-Thread
-Zipper
You can purchase these in the shop before the workshop (with 10% discount) or bring your own.
You will receive an email detailing exactly the size of fabric pieces you will need and the size of zipper. If you do not have remants at home you wish to use, you can always buy your fabric in advance from Cross & Woods using your 10% discount.
Language: English (Dutch staff is around to help with translating if needed)

ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Ana is a sewing and quilting teacher based in the Netherlands. She studied pattern cutting and professional sewing skills in the London College of Fashion where she started her own
independent sewing pattern company, CocoWawa Crafts. Ana designs dressmaking and quilting patterns for the modern maker and loves many other crafts like knitting, embroidery or cross-stitch.
