Shipping within the Netherlands and EU is handled by either DHL parcel or PostNL. If we are able to ship your item for a lower postage rate (like mailbox vs parcel post), we will do so automatically and refund you the difference. Unfortunately we can’t always predict the exact postal rates based on the final volume of items ordered.
If an order consists items for mailbox post and parcel post, our website might charge you double shipping costs. We are aware of this error on our website, and we will automatically refund you the extra postage.
Free Shipping is available within the Netherlands above €150,- excluding shipping costs, this should be automatically visible when viewing the cart or checking out. In case the discount doesn’t ring up, we will refund you the shipping fees when handling your order.
Shipping rates are constantly changing and we are trying our best to keep on top of them as much as we can. Unfortunately it sometimes does happen, that the actual fees we need to pay are significantly higher than the amount that was charged at check out. As a small business, we may contact you to request paying for these additional shipping fees. We will contact you prior to shipping in case the cost exceeds the allowance. We hope you understand that as a small business we unfortunately cannot absorb these costs.
We ship to most places worldwide. If your country isn’t listed, please contact us directly. Items being shipped out of the EU may be subject to taxes, customs duties and possibly extra fees levied by the destination country. The responsibility of payment of these fees is for the buyer and not Cross & Woods.

We try to offer the best rates of shipping to the UK. If the subtotal of your goods (excluding VAT and shipping costs) is less than €157 (138 GBP as of 11/2025), we will charge 20% UK VAT on your order.
If the subtotal of your goods (excluding VAT and shipping costs) is equal to or more than €157 (138 GBP as of 11/2025), we will not charge you VAT on your order, but you will have to pay the VAT to the courier company (in most cases DHL) once the goods have arrived in the UK.
With DHL Parcel, the customs clearance cost is collected at our website checkout. The customs clearance cost is a surcharge levied by the UK government for the goods to be allowed into the UK. It is not VAT.
Due to fluctuating exchange rates, it is possible that you may have been charged VAT by Cross & Woods, and charged VAT in the UK. If this happens, we will refund the VAT that you paid to Cross & Woods on your order upon your proof of payment of VAT to the courier.
Our goal is to process and ship your order within 2 business days after the transaction is fully completed and we have received the payment in full. Our business Days are Tuesday to Friday weekly with the exception of planned holiday days, where the shop will not be open and online orders will not be processed.
In the unfortunate event that we do not have all items in stock, we will try to contact you as soon as possible (by phone or email) to find a fitting solution.
We ship almost all items standard with track & trace. Your track & trace code is send to you directly by our postal service company, which can sometime take up to 12-24 hours after collection from our store. *Please check your spam filter in case you haven’t received the email.

Fraud Prevention. Some bad actors may try to imitate our courier emails, particularly for payments. Please be vigilant of the email content and should you have any doubt, please contact us directly and we will do our best to resolve.
Although we try to get your order to you as fast as we can, delivery times outside of the Netherlands can vary and any delivery times shown on the postal carriers website are estimates only.
