Needle Felting Kit ‘Otter’ - Hamanaka

This Otter Needle Felting Kit is from the Japanese company Hamanaka. This kit is specifically made for dry (needle) felting and makes 1 adorable otter. 

The design is by the popular Japanese artist Sashiko Susa.

Sashiko became a designer for a stuff door doll manufacturer after studying design at Bunka Gakuen University’s Department of Art and Design. She became a freelance handicraft artist, a calling she follows to this day.
Her work, which have attracted a wide range of fans for their unique shape and warm design, has been featured in numerous books, magazines, and other media. The gentle, soothing facial expressions of her animal creations have been praised by many.

The kit includes:

• Aclaine felting wool
• instructions *
• eyes

Size: approx. 5 cm tall. Keep in mind that the size depends on how tightly you felt the design. 

Difficulty level: intermediate 

What you will need (not included): felting needle, felting mat, scissors, glue.

Hamanaka’s Aclaine is an in-house produced special high quality acrylic fibre designed specifically for needle felting. It makes needle felting extremely fast, even up to half of the time normally required. It is incredibly cohesive and leaves a beautifully smooth surfaces. Some of the bright and superior colours are only able to dye on acrylic fibres. 

Aclaine is perfect for beginners, kids and/or vegans.
