Maud’s Posy is a tribute to one of Liberty’s signature flowers- the iconic poppy. Hand-painted in the early 1980s, this sophisticated botanical is a contemporary rendition of a typical Art Nouveau design. Elegant trailing poppies, winding foliage and pops of stylised carnations are emphasised by richly coloured grounds and bold outlines. This print is part of the Floral Library narrative of the AW24 collection, which studies the subject through the Botanist’s eye, cataloguing and exploring an assortment of species as well as a being a celebration of key florals throughout Liberty’s history.
