Bolga Oval Project Basket with Handles LARGE – Gone Arty

We love using these large gorgeous oval natural baskets for our knitting or crochet projects, but they obviously can be used for so many things. Store your favorite craft items in there, or toys, tools, magazines, blankets, fresh produce or use the baskets when grocery shopping; they are just so versatile!

These beautiful Fair Trade Bolga baskets are made in Bolgatanga, the most northern province of Ghana. The Bolga baskets are a traditional and handmade product. The variety is enormous, they come in different sizes and colours, from natural colours  to extremely bright and colourful. The baskets are made with elephant grass and are woven by women. It takes approximately 5-6 days to weave 1 basket.
Gone Arty is a fair trade company and ensures stable and fair wages for the weavers.

These baskets are easy to take care of, and in case your basket is bend out of shape, just dampen the basket and bend it back in the desired shape.

The average LARGE sized oval basket has approximately a width of 22-26cm by 45cm and height (with handles) of 44cm and 26cm (without handles).
