Lino Mūka by Wollen Berlin - 100% Lithuanian Linen!
Lino Mūka, translated from Old Lithuanian, means “The Life of Linen”. This linen comes from Lithuania, not only is it very popular and it has special cultural value. Flax has been cultivated there for thousands of years, as the climate and soil are ideal for the plant.
Characteristics
Linen is a hard-wearing fibre that will become softer and more beautiful over time. Clothing that is made from high-quality linen will still look and feel great after many years of washing and wearing. Don't be put off when touching a rough linen yarn for the first time - the fibre will become much more supple when handled and knitted.
Linen always feels cool to the touch, making it one of the best materials for summer garments. It absorbs moisture but still feels dry.
This plied light fingering weight yarn can be knitted/crocheted up with one or more strands held at the same time. Making your own marled colour, or just simple double up the same shade. This yarn works great for weaving as well or even embroidery. We love how versatile this yarn is!
