Hanafukin is a traditional Japanese square of fabric embroidered using the sashiko technique. It is often used as a napkin or placemat.
Its name literally means "flower cloth", in reference to the delicate patterns that adorn these pieces. Hanafukin is an excellent support for practicing sashiko, highlighting geometric or floral motifs while maintaining great simplicity and elegance.
