Granny Square Crochet Workshop

This much loved little square is the starting point for many projects; from blankets to garments or accessoires. In this granny square crochet class you will apply the basic stitches you already know, in new variations and get into basic pattern reading. You will leave the class ready to get started on your own granny square adventure!  

THIS WORKSHOP WILL TEACH YOU:

• how to make a magic circle
• how to crochet in the round
• reading the basic granny squares crochet patterns/drawings
• how to alternate colours
• how to finish your ends
• different ways to assemble your granny squares

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

Language: English & Dutch 

Level: This class is beginner friendly but basic crochet experience is needed to follow this class (it’s a perfect follow up after our learn to crochet class).

Skills required: you need to be able to make a chain stitch, single/double crochet stitches and slip stitches

Included in the workshop:

• handout about the explained techniques from the class

• coffee/tea/refreshments
  

Materials needed for the class:

You need at least 2 different colours of yarn in the same thickness, nothing below 3mm and a hook corresponding to your yarn choice. Our personal preference would always be a non-synthetic yarn, however you are free to bring whatever works best for you! in store.

You may bring your own materials, or buy them in our store before the class starts. We offer a 10% discount on the materials you get for your class. * Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class starts. Especially if you like to pick up materials for your class.
