Darley Hillside is a beautiful continuation of the legacy of legendary Trinidadian designer, Althea McNish. This richly expressive forest landscape draws inspiration from her impressionistic approach to painting, and her layering of impasto-like, abstract compositions. Hand-painted on dark grounds using chalk pastels and marker pens, its vividly infused shades spring to life, illuminated through a fantastic use of light and texture. This print is part of the second chapter of this collection, Collaboration, which reflects the current design team’s celebration of the techniques and styles of their predecessors - bridging the gap between past and present.
