Tunisian Crochet Workshop

Tunisian or Afghan crochet is the perfect union between crochet, knitting and weaving. This technique produces fabric unlike any of these other techniques when used separately. It uses special (extended) crochet needles, and you can make it from any yarn. And of course techniques like 'in the round' or 'short rows' and even 'cables' can be incorporated into your project. It can produce both a sturdy or a more lacy fabric, and it's a great technique for pleasantly transforming a mountain of yarn scraps into a unique blanket.

During this 2 hour workshop, we will start off and highlight some of the basic stitches and techniques. There is so much more to learn about Tunisian crochet, but this will surely whet your appetite to learn more about this particular technique.

THIS WORKSHOP WILL TEACH YOU: 

• Tunisian simple stitch
• Tunisian reverse stitch
• Tunisian knit stitch
• Tunisian full stitch
• Using simp colourwork techniques
• Casting on, cast off and creating neat edges

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Language: English & Dutch 

Level: This class is for people who have basic crochet skills and already know how to do a single and double crochet stitch.

Included in the workshop:

• 1 ball of yarn
• a tunisian/afghan crochet hook

• coffee/tea/refreshments                                                                      

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class starts.
