    DESCRIPTION

Fair Isle knitting or stranded knitting is a traditional knitting technique using two or more colours of yarn. Its origins lie on Fair Isle, one of the Shetland Islands.
Stranded colourwork is a wonderful technique that lots of contemporary knitwear designers use to incorporate colour into their design. It's a great bit of knowledge to add to your knitting skills which you can put to use for everything from details in hats to gorgeous yokes.

    This course will teach you

    • the background of stranded colourwork
    • how to knit with 2 colours
    • to hold yarn in one hand or in two hands

    • the basics about choosing and combining colours for your project.

This class is perfect for the more advanced knitter, or even the confident beginner. You don't have to have any experience with colourwork or chart reading.
