An indigo cotton with a bold red spot. Kala cotton is indigenous to Kutch in India and, by default, organic, as the farmers do not use any pesticides or synthetic fertilisers. It is a purely rain-fed crop that has a high tolerance for both disease and pests and requires minimal investment. The cotton has a beautiful rustic quality
Please note that as this cloth is heavily dyed with natural indigo we recommend for the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye, however the indigo will continue to come out and lose colour over time.
Due to the nature of hand dyed fabric the colour will vary over batches and we cannot guaruntee that piece you recieve will be the exact same shade as the sample or the image.
