    DESCRIPTION

    Date of class: 10-11-2024  Class time: 10.30-13.30

     

    Screen printing is the process of transferring a stenciled design onto a flat surface using a mesh screen, ink and a squeegee. During this workshop by Bobbinhood you will learn all about screen printing, the use of color, shape, design and all the techniques you’ll need to make your own stencil screen prints.
    At the end of the workshop you will be able to design and print your own (multi-coloured) screenprint.
    Join Bobbinhood  in this 3 hour class to learn the principles of making your own screen print design on how to use it to print on fabric so you can confidently start using this technique at home.


    THIS WORKSHOP WILL TEACH YOU:
    • all about the screen print technique 
    • how to make a stencil from your design
    • Print your design in one or more colors
    • The use of shape and color

    • tips & tricks for printing

    ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

    Language: English & Dutch 

    Level: beginner

    Skills required: You don't need any previous experience with design or printing, it will be handy though to bring some ideas for printing, these can be sketches or some pictures (pinterest) Don't worry if you don't have time to prepare or don't have any ideas, during the workshop we can help you with that.

    Included in the workshop:

    • all the practice materials you need. During the workshop we will have plenty of fabric to practice to print away.

    • coffee/tea/refreshments

    Not included in the workshop:

    • if you like to print on a t-shirt, sweater or something else, you can bring this with you, be  sure it’s pre washed and ironed, printing on light coloured gives the best result

    Min/Max amount of participants: 6/8

    Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class starts.

    As we will be working with textile paint we advise you to wear appropriate clothing
