Snefnug WATERCOLOR is a luxuriously soft, airy yarn crafted from fine natural fibers and characterised by its distinctive watercolor-like variegation. Each shade is composed of delicately blended tones that drift gently into one another, creating depth, harmony, and a soft visual movement in the surface of the yarn.
Across the color range, the palette is inspired by nature’s quiet, organic moods - from forest floors, moss, bark, and mountain stone to dawn light, evening glow, and moonlit softness. Warm and cool tones are often woven together, giving each colorway a subtle balance and a naturally shifting expression that feels alive without being busy.
The fibers are melanged in nuanced combinations of dusty greens, earthy browns, warm rust tones, rose hues, muted terracotta, golden beige, slate gray, cool blue-gray, and gentle touches of peach, pink, or berry shades. This produces colorways that are harmonious, subdued, and richly layered, with small glimmers of warmth or depth lying within the structure of the yarn.
The entire range of Snefnug can be combined with each other. The extremely soft handle and easy gauge range make this an allround amazing and easy to use yarn, for children and adults projects!
Snefnug is produced by an Italian family-owned spinning mill with consideration for both environment and animal welfare, thus the merino wool used is mulesing free, and comes from South America. The baby alpaca is from Peru, and the cotton is from Egypt.
It is made with a cotton tube core, into which a fine mixture of merino and baby alpaca is blown. All together this makes a strong, yet a super soft and exclusive yarn.
This yarn is perfect for baby and children's knitting, and for oversize knitting designs on large needles for adults, as well as sweaters, cardigans, scarves and hats.
This yarn has been a staff and customer favourite for many years now and we’re happy to welcome this gorgeous new colour range!
