Sashiko Sampler 1204 Morning Glory - Daruma

DARUMA's classic Sashiko Samplers are easy to make simply by stitching the printed pattern included with the fabric.

Sashiko Samplers have been a DARUMA staple for many years. They were updated in 2021 with new materials, designs, and English instructions. From traditional patterns to one-stitch patterns, the sashiko samplers make the best use of sashiko threads.

Sashiko Samplers are perfect as dish towels, napkins, or as a wrapping for homemade gifts. Each pattern is printed on durable fabric (sarashi), the printed pattern can be removed by washing when you are finished. In other words, do not wash or steam until you finish stitching, or the pattern will be lost!

Each traditional pattern has been passed down for centuries, with its own unique history and meaning. You can use just one colour of Sashiko thread or multiple. 
Traditional samplers require between 12–40 yards/11–30 meters of Sashiko thread
