Knitting Socks Two at a Time Workshop

Never suffer from the ‘second sock syndrome’ again! Learning how to knit 2 socks (or mittens, sleeves, etc.) can be such an easy way to get 2 identical knits done at once.  Join Sara in her favorite technique for making socks from the toe up. We’ll cover Judy’s magic cast-on, boomerang, and gusset heels, and Jenny’s super stretchy bind-off. At the end of this workshop you will feel confident in knitting socks two at a time and from the toe up. 

THIS WORKSHOP WILL TEACH YOU:

• Learn how to cast on for a pair in the round on circular needles
• Master to do 2 different heels
  
• Learn how to do Judy’s magic cast-on and a Jenny’s super stretchy bind off

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

Language: English & Dutch 

Level: This class is open to all abilities levels with the expectation that you can cast on, and knit & purl without help. 

Skills required: Comfort with the magic loop technique is required.

You can book this class with or without materials included. If you choose to bring your own materials, bring a circular needle that matches the thickness of your yarn and has an 100 cm cord or longer.

Materials included:

• 1 ball of yarn (colour of your choice)
• 1 pair of circular knitting needles (You’ll take these home after class)

No materials included:

• Bring your own yarn and matching circular needles 100cm or longer, preferably a thickness of 3-4mm

This class is divided over 2 days, leaving enough room to finish a little homework before joining the second class. The total class takes approximately 3 hours. We’ll provide you with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class starts.
