Mastering Short Rows - Yedra Knits

This 3-hour workshop taught by Sori of Yedraknits is ideal for knitters to refine their technique and improve the professional quality of their garments. You will knit small swatches to apply and combine different short-row techniques. 

THIS WORKSHOP WILL TEACH YOU

• Introduction to short rows, understanding their purpose, flexibility, and impact in knitting.
• Tree short row techniques: wrap & turn, German short rows,  and Japanese short rows.
• Polished finishes: techniques to ensure your short rows are invisible and seamless.
• Practical applications: how and where to use short rows effectively-shaping shoulders, bust darts, necklines, and more.
• Adapting short-row techniques: learn how to modify and swap methods to suit your project and personal preferences.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

Level: Intermediate-Advanced

Language: English 

Materials to bring:

• A notebook and a pen for notes.

• DK-weight yarn ( at least 50g in a light colour to see stitches clearly)

• Circular or double-pointed needles suitable for DK-weight yarn.

• Stitch markers to keep track of your work.

• Tapestery needle to weave in the ends and finishing details.
  

The class takes approximately 3 hours. We’ll provide you with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Sori is a textile designer and knitting instructor from Madrid. After leading the first independent Spanish language knitting and crochet pattern magazine, she is now focused on designing patterns and teaching. Helping knitters to master new techniques and create timeless garments.
