    DESCRIPTION

    Yedra KnitsThis 3-hour workshop is ideal for knitters eager to explore innovative techniques that blend crochet aesthetics with the versatility of knitting. You'll leave with a beautiful knitted granny square, enhanced colour skills, and the confidence to incorporate these textured motifs into your projects.

    THIS WORKSHOP WILL TEACH YOU
    • Introduction to knitted granny squares: Inspiration and creative applications.
    • The English rose stitch: a technique to mimic crochet textures in your knitting.
    • Pin Hole Cast-on: learn how to start knitting from the centre for a seamless, professional finish.
    • Mastering colour application: How to combine colours effectively to achieve striking visual effects.
    • Knitting granny squares with double-pointed (DPNs): Build confidence in knitting in the round and managing small-scale projects.
    • Ideas for incorporating knitted grannies into garments and accessories: from modular sweaters to patchwork blankets and shawls.

     

    ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

    Level: Intermediate 

    Language: English 

    Skills required: it is recommended to be comfortable knitting in the round with double-pointed needles.

     

    Materials to bring:

    • A notebook and a pen for notes.

    • Fingering weight or DK-weight yarn 

    • Circular or double-pointed needles suitable for your chosen yarn weight.

    • Stitch markers to keep track of your work.

    • Tapestery needle to weave in the ends and finishing details.

    The class takes approximately 3 hours. We’ll provide you with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits.

    Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class starts.

    Sori is a textile designer and knitting instructor from Madrid. After leading the first independent Spanish language knitting and crochet pattern magazine, she is now focused on designing patterns and teaching. Helping knitters to master new techniques and create timeless garments.
