Merchant & Mills have explored the concept and designs within the book through conversations with makers of varying disciplines, from weaving to wood turning. These makers model the patterns and tell us a little of their story and their craft. The reader can view their fabric choices and interpretations of the patterns and in turn formulate their own.

This 192 pages hardback includes the 5 full-size patterns and variations; Blazer, Chore Jacket, Drawstring Trousers/Shorts, Shirt/Shirt Dress, Mail Bag. In each chapter they will talk through the cloth used and offer tips and advice on handling and finishing. This is not a beginner’s book but nor is it advanced.
