Woolia - New sustainable merino yarn for needle size 4-6mm

Woolia is made of a very special wool, from the original Italian sheep breed, Merino Gentile Puglia. Sheep & lambs mainly graze between fruit and olive trees on organic plantations and on extensive areas.
This breed lives in a smaller local area around Puglia and other similar areas.  This form of sheep farming and their grazing habitats is the most sustainable form of wool production. It is environmentally friendly and provides good living conditions for the sheep and the sheep breeders.
The farmers sort the fleeces and sell them directly to Gepard's spinning mill. Meaning that the farmer will have a better price for the wool, and Gepard knows the individual flocks of sheep.

Woolia is soft and will not pill -and your sweater will be lightweight.
The first time you feel the wool, you will probably find it a little dry; it is a characteristic of this merino, giving the yarn a great lightness and so helping garments knit in Woolia to keep their shape regardless of needle size.
