Strawberry Thief Tana Lawn was first printed by William Morris in 1883. Strawberry Thief was part of a group of designs incorporating animals with flowers. Introduced as a furnishing fabric for Liberty in 1979, it depicts birds stealing fruit within Morris’s Oxfordshire garden.
Liberty’s Tana Lawn™ cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Here it is prepared in a slightly different process to ensure GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification, along with the usual Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 rating. Printed in Liberty’s very own Liberty Printing Mill in northern Italy, the organic version of their signature Tana has a beautifully warm and soft touch, combining rich fluidity with vibrant print quality.
