The instructions will involve stranded and intarsia knitting techniques, color arrangements, chart reading, and how to design a project using the information learned. We will knit samples of woven knitting with and without a background. We feel so honored and are super excited that Nancy will be teaching in our store! You wouldn’t want to miss this one!

Level: Intermediate
Skills required: Basic knitting skills including knowledge of increasing and decreasing.

Filcolana Pernilla - 100% wool DK weight, you'll choose 4 colours of Pernilla by Filcolana at the start of your class, these are included in the workshop price. You are of course allowed to work with your own yarn just make sure it’s preferably a 100% wool and DK weight wool.
- lunch (when you sign up for the class please leave us a comment if you have any dietary requirements)
- coffee, tea & snacks throughout the day
Not included in the workshop:
You need to bring your own needles: you can bring either double pointed needles (DPN’s) or circular needles (80cm) in size 3.5-4.0mm. You will also need stitch markers.

The Masterclass starts at 10AM and takes approximately 6 hours. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class starts, but not earlier as we won't be open yet.
Nancy Marchant, a.k.a. the Queen Mother of Brioche, was born in Indiana but the Netherlands has been her home for more than 40 years. Her first published pattern was in 1974. She’s seen knitting styles and techniques change over the years and has built up quite a collection of knitwear designs. Nancy has studied the nuances of the brioche stitch and developed new and exciting stitch patterns and techniques for achieving beautiful brioche and tuck stitch results. She is the author of Knitting Brioche, Knitting Fresh Brioche, Leafy Brioche, Tuck Stitches, Knitting Brioche Lace, and Brioche Knitting. She’s recently started developing woven patterns in knitting.
